A half day intro seminar how leaders can engage and collaborate in a Vola le Uncertain
Complex and Ambiguous World. This highly recommended program is both very mely and
effec ve to deal with all changes and organiza onal challenges that we face on a daily basis.
Applying three basic processes of the mind in decision-making, par cipants will gain prac cal
and powerful insights in how to be er engage and collaborate with cross-func onal
stakeholders to achieve higher performance.

Review of examples how a Vola le, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous World influences
organizations from both a business and people focus.

Engagement
Definition of Engagement and introduction of Mastery, Meaning and Membership as key
drivers to engage employees

the VUCA Leader
Self-discovery of leadership traits needed to be successful in a VUCA world and facilitated
summary of the VUCA leader with an ability to 'know, care and sense' with emotional
regulation and high self-awareness to display behaviors that engage and inspire

The VUCA World and our organization
Team exercise to identify key people and organization centered challenges faced due to VUCA
context. Group de-briefs to identify up to 3 core challenges teams should work on during the
rest of the day. Relate challenges to strengthening of engagement

The VUCA Challenge
Introduction of the VUCA Challenge game teams will be working on in the afternoon. A 'call for
action' to focus on up to three VUCA people and organizational challenges identified in the
exercise before the break (one per team)

About the Trainer: Peter Buytaert
Peter Buytaert builds on more than twenty five years of Asia executive management,
leadership and entrepreneurial experience and is founder and CEO of GLO (Good Leaders
Online). He is also guest lecturer on corporate governance and Asia/China strategy at various
MBA programs, among which CEIBS and Pepperdine University. He served as Chairman for
three consecutive years of the Benelux Chamber of Commerce (Bencham) of Shanghai.

Peter is a truly global citizen with a unique track record in cross cultural people leadership,
start-up and business strategy, as well as driving change in organizations across Asia and China
in particular. Prior to his entrepreneurial career, Peter was responsible for Agfa Graphics
regional sales and operations as its President Asia. Before making Shanghai his base, he
resided successively in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Manila, Kuala.
